2022 Lake Pleasant Road (North) HMA Overlay Project
Lake Pleasant Road, Burnside Road northerly to North Branch Road (M-90), in North Branch Township, will be under construction for HMA (Hot-Mix Asphalt) paving overlay. Project will include, but is not limited to, Culvert replacement, milling pavement joints and intersections at curb lines, placing asphalt overlay, gravel shoulders, traffic signs and pavement markings. Road will be closed to traffic (buses, emergency vehicles and garbage trucks will be able to access the road). Paving Contractor will have traffic control regulators present while working. Expect uneven pavement after culvert replacement, milling operations and between paving of the westbound and eastbound lanes. Watch Facebook and our website for schedule updates.

Lake Pleasant Road, from Burnside Road northerly to M-90, will be under construction to continue with placement of Shoulder Aggregate (gravel) on Thursday and Friday (June 16 – 17, 2022) this week. Roadway paving operations are completed. Once shoulder aggregate is placed, then grass restoration, pavement markings and signs will be completed, actual dates to be determined. Please continue to seek alternate routes, or follow the posted detour for the safety of the construction crews working on these final tasks for project completion. Lake Pleasant (N) Road Contractor (Burnside Road north to M-90) is scheduled to pave the road and approaches from Monday, June 13 to Thursday, June 16, 2022, weather dependent. Aggregate shoulders and driveway approaches are scheduled to be completed after the asphalt paving operations are completed. Restoration of topsoil, seed and mulch will be placed after shoulders are complete. Please continue to follow the posted detour until the project is completed for the safety of the work crew. The Lapeer CRC Contractor will start milling operations along Lake Pleasant Road, from Burnside Road northerly to North Branch (M-90) Road on Friday, May 20, 2022. The removal of the existing asphalt in select locations is being done in preparation of the placement of a HMA Asphalt Overlay. The milling operations will be completed under Traffic Regulator’s Flag Control – Expect delays in this area on Friday or seek alternate route (Click Here to see detour map).
