2022 Mayfield Twp Overlay Project
Mayfield Township, in cooperation with the Lapeer CRC, is sponsoring a HMA Asphalt paving overlay on Stump Road, McCormick Road and Sawdust Corners Road, from Valentine Road northeasterly to Lapeer Road (M-24). This work will include, but is not limited to, milling existing asphalt, placement of new asphalt wearing course, gravel shoulders, approaches, grass restoration, signs and pavement markings. Road will be closed to through traffic during certain phases of the project. Please follow the posted detour, or seek alternate routes, for the safety of the construction crew.

The Lapeer CRC Contractor will start milling operations along Stump Road, McCormick Road and Sawdust Corners Road, from Valentine Road northeasterly to Lapeer Road (M-24) this week. The removal of the existing asphalt in select locations is being done in preparation of the placement of a HMA Asphalt Overlay. The milling operations will be completed under Traffic Regulator’s Flag Control – Expect Delays in this area Thursday/Friday/Saturday or seek alternate route. The date for the placement of the asphalt overlay is not scheduled at this time. Continue to watch the Lapeer CRC Facebook page and the website for schedule updates as they are known.
