Truck Operator

This position will operate motorized equipment for repair, maintenance and development of roads within Lapeer County.  Position starts within District 1 Lapeer Garage.

Work requires knowledge of the procedures, materials and equipment used in operation of motorized equipment, such as wheel tractors, light trucks, bulldozers, dump trucks and snow plows.  This position will operate a variety of light and heavy-duty motorized equipment in response to seasonal and project needs, including manual labor duties.  Two (2) years of experience in the operation of highway trucks, maintenance or construction equipment is preferred.  Must possess a CDL A, a high school diploma or equivalent, and follow the Federal Motor Carrier regulations and guidelines.

This is a union position with a current top of pay scale of up to $26.40 per hour.  Comprehensive benefit package is included consisting of medical/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays, vacations, and retirement plan.
