Summer Seasonal Intern – Engineering

Great opportunity for anyone interested or thinking of pursuing a career in Engineering or GIS related fields.  Assist the Engineering Department with:

• Collect traffic count data
• Enter treatment records and develop summary reports
• Data collection with GIS based software
• Assist with construction project inspections
• Other various engineering tasks (maps, apps, data, survey, construction plans)

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others
• Ability to work out of doors in rough terrain and in any type of weather conditions
• Must pass a physical, drug test and background check

May through September – or as coordinated based on school schedule
Work Hours:  Monday – Thursday  6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wage:  $17.00 per hour

Mechanic with CDL

This position will perform diagnosis any mechanical work necessary for repair and maintenance of fleet equipment, including, but not limited to, pickups, light and heavy trucks, construction equipment, and select building maintenance.  Considerable knowledge is required of gas/diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems and valves.  Three (3) years of experience as heavy truck and equipment mechanic required.  Mechanic Certificate with Master Heavy Duty Truck Certification and / or CDL Class A is desired.

This is a union position with a starting pay of $27.12 per hour, with an additional $0.25 per hour up to $2.00, for each verified ASE certification obtained and held.
