Finance Director

The Lapeer County Road Commission (CRC) is seeking an experienced Finance Director to serve as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. This position is responsible for managing the Commission’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, accounting, audits, and long-range financial planning. The Finance Director also serves as Board Secretary, as appointed by the Board, and works closely with the Managing Director and management team to support the Commission’s fiscal and operational goals.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in governmental or public agency accounting. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience with Michigan Transportation (MTF) funding, public finance, the Open Meetings Act, and the Freedom of Information Act is considered a plus.

This is a full-time, in-office position located in Lapeer, Michigan, with a salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Mechanic with CDL

This position will perform diagnosis any mechanical work necessary for repair and maintenance of fleet equipment, including, but not limited to, pickups, light and heavy trucks, construction equipment, and select building maintenance.  Considerable knowledge is required of gas/diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems and valves.  Three (3) years of experience as heavy truck and equipment mechanic, a CDL Class A and a Mechanic Certificate is required.  Master Heavy Duty Truck Certification is desired.

This is a union position with a starting pay of $30.37 – $31.37 per hour, with an additional $0.25 per hour up to $2.00, for each verified ASE certification obtained and held. Comprehensive benefit package is included consisting of medical/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays, vacations, and retirement plan.
