Account Clerk Payroll

The Lapeer County Road Commission (CRC) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Account Clerk – Payroll.  This is a full-time position, under the general direction of the Lapeer CRC Managing Director.

This position is responsible for performing all payroll duties and a variety of administrative and financial duties, data entry, records and documentation functions.  The position also will include answering the telephone and radio communications.

The minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or have at least three (3) years of related office work experience.  Previous experience with governmental fund accounting, Road Commission or Public Works is preferred.

Mechanic

This position will perform diagnosis and mechanical work necessary for repair and maintenance of fleet equipment, including, but not limited to, cars, pickups, light and heavy trucks, construction equipment, and select building maintenance.  Considerable knowledge is required of gas/diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems and valves.  Three (3) years of experience as heavy truck and equipment mechanic required.  Mechanic Certificate with Master Heavy Duty Truck Certification and / or CDL Class A is desired.

This is a union position with a starting pay of up to $25.56 per hour.  Comprehensive benefit package is included consisting of medical/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays, vacations, and retirement plan.
