2022 Lake Pleasant Road HMA Overlay Project

Lake Pleasant Road, Imlay City Road north to Lum Road, in Attica & Arcadia Townships, will be under construction for HMA (Hot-Mix Asphalt) paving overlay.  Project will include, but is not limited to, Culvert replacement, milling pavement joints and intersections at curb lines, placing asphalt overlay, gravel shoulders, traffic signs and pavement markings.  Road will be closed to traffic (buses, emergency vehicles and garbage trucks will be able to access the road).  Contractor will have traffic control regulators present while working.  Expect uneven pavement after culvert replacement, milling operations and between paving of the northbound and southbound lanes.  Watch Facebook and our website for schedule updates.

June 30, 2022 Lake Pleasant Rd Paving Continues Friday

Top course paving work will be complete tonight, however road will remain closed Friday, July 1, 2022 for Approach paving work.  After approaches are complete, Lake Pleasant Road will be open for the Holiday Weekend.  The road will re-close on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 until Friday, July 8, 2022 for gravel shoulder and restoration work.  Continue to follow the posted detour, or seek alternate routes, for the safety of the crew.  Continue to watch Lapeer CRC Facebook page for schedule updates as they occur.

June 29, 2022 Lake Pleasant Rd Paving to Resume Thursday

Paving operations on Lake Pleasant Road, from Imlay City Road north to Lum Road, will resume Thursday, June 30, 2022.  This mornings rain has postponed the paving operations today.  Crews will be back tomorrow, weather depending, to completed the top course of asphalt.  After asphalt paving is completed, placement of gravel shoulder operations will follow.  Follow the Lapeer CRC Facebook page for schedule updates as they occur.

June 14, 2022 Lake Pleasant Rd Paving to Start Saturday

Lake Pleasant Road, from Imlay City Road to Lum Road will be closed to thru traffic on Saturday, June 18, 2022, for the first lift of Asphalt Paving Operations.  Please seek alternate routes, or follow the posted detour for the safety of the construction crew.  The schedule for the second lift of asphalt and placement of gravel shoulder material is to be determined.  Between the paving and shoulder operations, the aggregate shoulder grade / elevation will be lower than the roadway.  Continue to watch the Lapeer CRC Facebook page for schedule updates as they occur.

June 9, 2022 Lake Pleasant Rd Milling Operations to Start Friday

The Lapeer CRC Contractor will start milling operations along Lake Pleasant Road, from Imlay City Road northerly to Lum Road on Friday, June 10 to Saturday, June 11, 2022.  The removal of the existing asphalt in select locations is being done in preparation of the placement of a HMA Asphalt Overlay.  The milling operations will be completed under Traffic Regulator’s Flag Control – Expect Delays in this area Friday/Saturday or seek alternate route.  The date for the placement of the asphalt overlay is not scheduled at this time.  Continue to watch the Lapeer CRC Facebook page and the website for schedule updates as they are known.

May 12, 2022 Lake Pleasant Road Culvert Patches to Start Saturday

Project Update!  Culvert replacements are planned to be completed on Lake Pleasant Road on this Thursday for upcoming HMA (asphalt) overlay project.  The temporary gravel culvert crossings will have asphalt patches placed starting Saturday (weather dependent).  Please continue to follow the posted detour for Lake Pleasant Road, Imlay City Road to Lum Road, until end of the day Saturday as the temporary gravel is removed and asphalt placed in the crossings.  Continue to follow us on Facebook and our Website for more schedule updates.
