Oregon Road will be closed to thru traffic this week for Asphalt Paving Operations on Wednesday and Thursday (June 15 – 16, 2022).  Also, during the paving operations, the Contractor will be adjusting water main manhole covers.  Please seek alternate routes, or follow the posted detour for the safety of the construction crew.  Shoulder material will be placed after paving operations is complete, schedule to be determined.  Between the paving and shoulder operations, the aggregate shoulder grade / elevation will be lower than the asphalt pavement.  Continue to watch the Lapeer CRC Facebook page for schedule updates as they occur.

The Lapeer CRC Contractor is scheduled to start crushing the existing asphalt on Oregon Road, Elba Road easterly to Indian Road, on Monday, June 13, 2022.  During the crushing process the Contractor will pulverize the existing asphalt road to create a loose gravel like material.  The crushed material is then graded and compacted to form a new base for the placement of a new HMA Asphalt Roadway.  Once complete new HMA Asphalt material will be placed.  It is anticipated that the first lift of asphalt on Oregon Road (Elba Road to Indian Road) will be completed by Saturday, June 18, 2022, weather dependent.  During the crushing, shaping and paving process, Oregon Road will be closed to thru traffic, please follow the posted detour.  Continue to watch the Lapeer CRC Facebook page and website for project schedule updates as they are known.

Oregon Road, Elba Road easterly to Indian Road, will close next week for ditching and culvert replacements.  It is anticipated that the existing asphalt will be crushed, in preparation for new asphalt placement, the week of June 13, 2022.  Continue to watch the Lapeer CRC Facebook page and the website for schedule updates.
